(The Slice): In anticiaption of Pres. Joe Biden announcing a run for a second time, the issue of ageism came up in a post-State of the Union Address interview in which he defended his ability to fulfill the role again.

“I would be completely, thoroughly honest with the American people if I thought there was any health problem, anything that would keep me from being able to do the job. And and, so we’ll see. But, you know, I just — I think people have to just watch me,” Biden said in a Wednesday interview with PBS NewsHours’ Judy Woodruff.

Pres. Biden would be 82 if he runs and wins a second election. In the end, age is not someting any of us can control. As for the president's ability to continue in the job he suggested, "Watch me. Tha's All I can say."
