Biden to check on storm damage in Puerto Rico, Florida

This week, Pres. Biden will visit Puerto Rico and Florida to view the devestation caused by hurricanes. He leaves for Puerto Rico on Monday. The island had not fully recovered from Maria's storm damage in 2017 when it was hit again by hurricane Fiona. Power has been restored to 86 percent of the island.

On Wednesday he will fly to Florida where Ian left a path of damage over Fort Myers, Fla., and surrounding. Over 600,000 Florida were left witout power and te causeway connecting te mainland to the inland broke. The category 4 hurricane is one of the strongest storms ever to hit the United States.

Through FEMA, the White House has pledged to provide as much financial and other resources necessary to repair both areas.
