Former Pres. Bill Clinton has been hosptalized in California with Sepsis.

The 75-year-old went to the University of California Medcal Center in Irvine for a non-Covid related infection. He began to show signs of fatigue and was admitted on Tuesday. It was discovered through a blood test that he has infection in his blood, known as Sepsis. CNN says doctors believe his condition stemmed from a unrinary tract infection.

"He is on the mend, in good spirits, and is incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff providing him with excellent care," a spokesperson Angel Urena reiterated on Twitter.

"He’s up and about, joking and charming the hospital staff," they told Reuters.

As a precaution , Clinton, who has had a history of heart disease, is in the ICU.

Clinton's doctors Drs. Alpesh Amin and Lisa Bardack indicated in a statement that he is recovering well after two days of treatment:

"He was admitted to the hospital for close monitoring and administered IV antibiotics and fluids. He remains at the hospital for continuous monitoring. After two days of treatment, his white blood cell count is trending down and he is responding to antibiotics well. The California-based medical team has been in constant communication with the President's New York-based medical team, including his cardiologist. We hope to have him go home soon."
