(TSN): This evening First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will attend a vigil for the victims in the Nashville elementary school mass shooting.

Some in the crowd were hearing the news as it was breaking, casting a somber tone on the event. Dr. Biden, a teaching professional said, "I am truly without words. And our children deserve better."

On Wednesday, instead of returning to the White House following a visit to military families in Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Biden will join mourners in Nashville.

Three children's lives were senselessly taken by a transgender male Aufrry Hale who had purchased 7 guns from various places from June to Octobeer of 2022. Her parents told CNN she walked out of the house carrying a red bag on Monday and when they asked what was in it they were ignored. Three of the weapons Hale owned were found at the scene.

The student victims were Hallie Scruggs (9); William Kinney (9), and Evelyn Dieckhaus (9). The other three victims were staff members: Katherine Koonce (60) the school's head mistress, Mike Hill (61) custodian, Cynthia Peak (61) substitute teacher.
