In February 2020 Weisnstein was convicted of forcibly performing oral sex on a production assistant over a decade earlier and also for raping an aspiring actress in 2013.
According to USA Today, in April 2021, his legal team filed a 166-page brief at the first appellate court level, calling his trial “unconstitutional” for failing to guarantee him a “fair and impartial jury trial.”
