Hospitalizations of children with RSV virus is on the rise, plus more cases of flu and COVID


America's children are facing a triple threat of viral illnesses this fall -- Hospitals are at 80 percent capacity with pediatric emergency use due to a surge in RVS cases. At the same time, there is a rise in flu. Currently the most cases are in the Southeast. However, the number has increases in te norteast as wel, doblin since September. Health officials are reporting that most of the patietns ave not been vaccinated for COVID, sparking concern for an additional spike in sicness amon cidren nd teir families. The peak in cases has come much earlier than expected this season, while a national mediacal staffing shortage persists.

Tne CDC accounted for 7000 cases over the past week. There is no set treatment for RVS, exceot to avoid germs. Parents are urged to get children vaccinated for the flu and Coronavirus.

RSV is an infection that affects te upper respiratory system. The symptoms of RSV can mimick the common cold of flu.
