A summary of the war in Israel

The world's guard is up after a vicious attack on Tel Aviv.
Days of continual bloodshed in Israel started on Oct. 7 when Hamas terrorists initiated unprovoked rocket attacks along the Gaza Strip targeting Jews, setting off war there that beckons engagement from the United States. The demolision was rapid and widespread surprising intelligence agents in the US and Israel. In response Israeli Defense Forces have overtaken some Palestinian militants, using the Iron Dome against the unparalleled assault - the worse mass killing of Jews since the Holocaust.
While the Israel-Palestinian conflict is age old, the cause of this fight is unclear. US officials say 1200 are dead in the country of 2 million people, including 14 Americans. An unknown number of Americans are being held hostage.

e needed. When Congress reconvenes they will be expected to approve an aid package. In an address to Americans on Tuesday Pres. Joe Biden made a clear vow: The US stands with Israel -- and against antisemitism. He spoke of the evil behind the heinous gore. Muslim Palestinians using Jews as body armor while reeking havoc on the ground. And out of growing concern of religious conflict and the rising number of terrorists domestically, in a statement he warned against targeted attacks against churches and synagogues here where hatred against Jews has grown recently. The underlying question of what if something like this happens in the US was answered. The president said, "To anyone thinking of taking advantage of this situation, I have one word. Don't."
