James Corden is in the midst of his final season on air and we hate to see him go so we will list his guests every week until he departs. He is determined to go out with bang. In case you missed it on Monday night, "Top Gun" acting legend Tom Cruise schooled the host on how to be a top gun. Cruise is a real stunt guy as he demonstrated by taking him up in a jet for some flying lessons. He knows how to handle a plane like a pro, which totally freaked Corden out. The host has been a source of laughter for viewers for nearly a decade. At the end of April he shared with his audience that he never intended for hostinwg the late niht program as his final destination and that he is lokin for the next big adventure. After eight and a half year he will leave and wants to do so on a good note. "I never saw [the show] as my final destination, and I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way. I always want to love making it, and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there," he said.
Fans of the show will continue to see him host Carpool Karaoke and his creative sketches2023, CBS executives have no until it ends in 2023.
CBS President and CEO George Cheeks hates to see James go too. He said in a statement: “We wish he could stay longer, but we are very proud he made CBS his American home and that this partnership will extend one more season on The Late Late Show.
Corden has expressed an interest in writin in the future. We don't know if the network is considerin a replacement or renewing the show without him.
