WATCH BATON ROUGE POLICE CHIEF GO OFF ON CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS:
Baton Rouge Police Dept. Chief Murphy Paul, Jr. snapped in a City Council meeting last week regarding accountability claim against Baton Rouge Police running a torture chamber in a warehouse called the "BRAVE CAVE." He defended the firings he has conducted and called out specific council members for defunding the police. He also addressed several racial incidents both he and his family have endured.
But The misconduct case is under an external investigation by the FBI. .
There are several lawsuits against the department some involving misconduct in strip searches University of Virginia law school professor Thomas Frampton said Baton Rouge police’s leadership had a chance to implement meaningful changes when allegations of an illegal strip-search in 2021 brought criticism to the agency.
Frampton said, police did nothing and since then, “countless Baton Rouge citizens have been subject to illegal, sexually humiliating strip-searches”. And, in remarks to the Associated Press, Frampton warned that additional lawsuits from others are coming.
