Actress Megan Good and her husband of 9 years, preacher/producer/author Devon Franklin announced they are filing for divorce. The joint statement about their split was unlike many Hollywood couple, suggesting they still care for and respect each other.
“After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected,” they shared on their respective Instagram accounts late Tuesday. “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.
“We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife,” they continued. “We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”
Good 40 and Franklin 43, were example to young Christian couples. They made appearances at faith based event and were candid about their challenges, while depending on God for endurance.
People Magazine exclusively confirmed the couple if parting ways, noting they co-authored the bestselling book on relationships, The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love.
In the 2015 book, they opened up about how saving sex for marriage and sharing the same values was important to their bond.
