Faithful Catholics from around the world have been gathering at the Vatican to pray the rosary for His Holiness Pope Francis, whose "clinical condition over the last few days has remained stable and, consequently, shows a good response to the therapies." This update provided by the Vatican on Saturday evening, is "a gradual, mild improvement." Doctors say they are being cautious while the pope remains hospitalized in critical condition. The head of the Catholic church first became on Valentine's Day with an upper respiratory condition. He is currently in the early phases of kidney failure but had consistent blood work and no fever as of the latest update. However, his prolonged condition is prompting murmurs of a possible conclave. A conclave is the procedure that is held in the Catholic Church for transitions in the papacy.
Per the Vatican, The Holy See Press Office has reported that,
The Press Office also said Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and the Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, visited the hospital to see the Pope. They said the pope is resting.
Francis, 88, is seeking prayer for a miraculous recovery.
