Pres. Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are safe after being evacuated abruptly from their Rehoboth, DE beach house Saturday. A small private plane accidentally flew into protected air space and as a caution secret service removed the first couple from their get-away spot briefly.
Flyin within the 10 mile restricted zone, the pilot did not have the radio on the proper channel. The Secret Service said in a statement that the plane was immediately escorted from the restricted airspace after “mistakenly entering a secured area.” The agency said the polot was not following published flight guidance releaed by the Federal Aviation earlier in the week.
A repoter that traveled with the president noted they were taken to a local fire station.
