PROGRESS REPORT ON THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION AND OTHER FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW . . .

'We're crushing it," a Biden Administration official tells The Slice News. Testing their claim, The Slice looked into campaign promises and statemetns Pres. Joe Biden has made since taking office. What we ahve found is that the former Delaware Senator is a man of his word. The Biden Adminstration is actually perforning well at tit mid-term point.

Most of what Biden set out to achievee has happened -- from lowering gas prices, keeping Russia from leveling the Ukraine, averting a railroad strike, nominating Judge ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman on the Supreme Court, saying Rapahel Warnock would win re-election, delivering on bringing Russian detainee Brittney Griner back home and keeping work in the U.S. though building manufacturing and union jobs and more (desribed in the video below.) This year ahs been wrought with challenges as the nation turnd th curve on the pandemic and domestic Calofronia Gov. Gavin Newsome vistied teh border on Tuesday, causing speculation that it was an affront to the president and he may want to run for president.

Biden's failures. . .

Despite the marked progress Pres. Biden has made, his response to immigration continues to be the source of great criticism. Fellow democrats, not just Republicans are saying he should visits the border. He recently visited Arizona and did not opt to go to the border when he was close to it. While Biden is sending more DHS agents to the border ahead of Title 42 ending, he has not been to the Southern border to make a first hand assessment of the problem. He has acquiesced to following the immigration procedures and tasking Vice Pres. Kamala Harris with finding the "root cause" of the migratn problem. Harris told migrants not to come but the caravans kept flowing through Mexico. There is a fear that in the coming weeks border agents may be overwhelmed by the surge.

Press avoidance

Going into a third year in office, the president has never faced the press outside of a controlled environment. Not once has he participated in a press briefing in the designated area for briefings -- The James Brady Press Briefing Room. This space is a vehicle for reporters to address the concerns that affect the country the most on behalf of the American people . Reporters come in waves in that room. The president's presence has historically been the contant. Like his predecessor Donald Trump, Biden is depriving the people by preventing the press from keeping him honest. The only opportunity the press has to engage with Biden is when he is arriving or departing from the White House -- in which he ususally offers short responses.
