After watching Kirk and Tammy Franklin host the new T V One original dating series "The One," you are guaranteed 3 take aways:
1. Lots of PDA
2. Humor
3. Marraige ministry/life coaching
And you might just find the formula for attracting the one.
Married for 27 years, the Franklins are unofficial match makers who guide eligible batchlorette and batchelor Ashley and Brent along their quest for a prospective mate. They will date two diffeenr people each episode and choose one at the end. The selectee will advance to the dating mansion, giving this series a fresh conceptual take on the datingbgame format. Because multiple people of the opposite sex will he living under the same time the competitive side of dating and temptatin will be highlighted. Will the selectees only have eyes for the ones who chose them?
"The One" is not just another dating series that appeals to Blacks. It's also not sterotypical of uptightness some would expect from a Christian couple. They are candid about physical attraction and not shy about being flirtatious. In fact, the Franklins appear to genuinely enjoy beig together and their overt enthusiams can give couples something to look forward to.
The only qaulm is that Brent was a contestant on anothe dating show, which gives the impression that some of the storyline/s might be contrived. In all of Atlanta where the show is based, there has to have been at least one other handsome, single guy looking to get hitched who showed up for the casting. Does Brent have another motive?
Other than that, the premiere was entertaining and intriguing.
