Sen. John Fetterman hospitalized for lightheadedness

SUMMARY: Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman was ket for observation in a DC hospital on Wednesday. A statement from the Fetterman press officer indicated he has cmplained about being lightheaded and they too him to nearby George Washington Hospital. The Senator had a stoke ahead of the primary last year.


PA Senator John Fetterman has been hospitalized again. He complainied of feeling light heded and was transported to the George Washington University where doctors ran tests to check for another possible stroke. He was attendding a democratic retreat at the time. Communications Director Joe Calvello said in a statement that initial tests do not show any signs of a new stroke. He was admitted for observation to determine the source of his symptoms.

Fetterman survived a life-threateing stroke in 2022 that became central to the mid-term election. His win gave the Democatric party leverage in the U.S. Senate as the Republican overtook the House of Representatives. He was left with auditory dysfunction but has been serving as usual up until now.

The senator attended the State of the Union Address on Tuesday of this week. He has previously served as a mayor and Lt. Governor of Penssylvania.
