Sen. McConnell will finish his term

U.S. Senators are on their annual recess that lasts through August. The break may be a time for Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell to reset following a live health scare on Wednesday. While talking at his weekly press conference he faded for almost 2O seconds. Despite concerns about his health, the 81-year-old head of Senate Republicans said he will complete this term.


In a statement, his office said McConnell appreciates the continued support of his colleagues and “plans to serve his full term in the job they overwhelmingly elected him to do.”


The "freeze" episide coupled with recent falls field speculation that Mr. McConnell, who is the longest-serving Senate Party Leader in American history is too old to serve
