U.S. Senators are on their annual recess that lasts through August. The break may be a time for Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell to reset following a live health scare on Wednesday. While talking at his weekly press conference he faded for almost 2O seconds. Despite concerns about his health, the 81-year-old head of Senate Republicans said he will complete this term.
In a statement, his office said McConnell appreciates the continued support of his colleagues and “plans to serve his full term in the job they overwhelmingly elected him to do.”
