Sha' Carri Richards Secures Spot on Team USA Track Team with Stunning Race
Over the weekend an unstoppable team of women runners joined TEAM USA for the Tokyo Olympics in track and field led by Sha'Carri Richards. In the 100, Richards blazed through the competition like an orange flame in a record-breaking 10.89 seconds. Known for her colorful hair, long nails and cocky attitude, Sha'Carri is destined to be one of the greats.
Richards made a splash in the track and field world during her freshman year of college at LSU. She decided to go pro and will bring her awesome talent and flashy style to Tokyo. After her win at the trials she ran up the stand to embrace her grandmother, elated that she was there to see her earn a spot at the Olympics. (Richard's mother passed away.)
Richardson also using her popularity form track to build up people who choose to make their appearance unique. She says the color of her hair and length of her nails should not matter. Many people on social media have been inspired by her words feeling that employers should understand that appearance alone have nothing to do with talent and stop discriminating in hiring practices.

Richardson suspended from the Olympics over doping
When the roster was released with the final runners in the 4X100 women's Olympic relay team one well known name was missing from the list. Gabby Thomas, English Gardner and Aleia Hobbs were listed to compete in the relay. It was the last ray of hope for Sha-Carri Richardson, the sprinter who got a one-moth suspension for smoking marijuana. She admitted to smoking pot to cope with her mother's death. The relay fell on the schedule after the suspension would be over, leaving some to believe she could reprsent team USA in this capacity. The women's 100 meter event will consist of Javianne Oliver, Teahna Daniels Jenna Pradini and Thomas.
SHA'CARRI RICHARDSON REACTS TO OLYMPICS DISMISSAL
"I'm sorry I can't be y'all Olympic Champ this year but I promise I'll be your World Champ next year," Richardson tweeted Saturday.
