Someone at the White House offended Sen. Manchin

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin's decision to go against Biden's 1.7 trillion social and climate plan known as Build Back Better could be hinged on the conduct of white house staff. After sending shock waves through Washington following the public announcement that he won't vote for the bill, Manchin made the commented during an interview on West Virginia Metro News Radio some staffers conduct was "inexcusable" He initally announced he was at an impasse on the legislation and would not vote for its passage on Fox News on Sunday. In the White House PRess briefing on Monday President Biden's spokeswoman Jen Psaki said they are still open to speaking to Manchin the president's QUOTE good friend. She added that the Administration is going to fight like hell to get those votes that could secure the all-important child tax credit.


Manchin said he would not say “the real reason” talks failed.


But when asked what that was, he said: “The bottom line is … it’s staff. It’s staff purely. … It’s not the president. it’s staff. And they drove some things and put some things out that were absolutely inexcusable.”
