Televangelist Marcus Lamb dies of Coronavirus

Televangelist Marcus Lamb, co-founder of the Daystar TV Network passed away from Coronavirus. A COVID skeptic, who frequently promoted antivaccination messages on air, Lamb was 64. He had taken alternative drugs that did not work. His wife and co-laborer Joni announced the death after he had fought for weeks. “This morning at 4 a.m. the president and founder of Daystar and the love of my life went to be with Jesus,” said his wife, Joni, on a Tuesday (Nov. 30) morning broadcast. “I wanted you to hear from me that he’s with the Lord.

He was a diabetic, a pre-existing condition that is known to compromise the immune system. He had gotten pneumonia from COVID. His wife Joni Lamb explained in a broadcast on their Texas based Daystar Network that his blood sugar spiked, and while his breathing was stable, "his heart stopped beating." Doctors were unable to revive him. Mrs. Lamb also had the virus and said she "breezed right through it."

Condolences are pouring in from faith leaders who are remembering his legacy of love and servanthood instead of attaching his whole life to the decision not to get vaccinated. Although he was an anti-vaxxer, his legacy was much stronger than that. He fought racism and had great faith in the power of prayer. "Truly Marcus Lamb was a general in God's army," said Mrs. Lamb.
