Families have identified 7 of the 8 concert goers who died after being crushed in a wave of human bodies at the Astroworld festival headlined by rapper Travis Scott last Friday. The age range of the victims included high school and college students -- among them a 14-year-old, a 16-year-old, two 21-year-olds, a pair of 23-year-olds, and a 27-year-old victim. An 8th victim was unidentified as of press time.

What triggered the stampede is unknown. One report, which has been refuted by several people in attendance, is that a security gaurd was stabbed in the neck and druged with a needle, causing people to panic. Officials are investigating the lack of crowd control and source of the claims of people getting injected with drugs.

Hip Hop superstar Drake was also a featured act at the concert. A concertgoer who was injured during the festival is suing Scott , who was the organizer of the Astroworld Festival, as well as entertainment company Live Nation, concert promoter Scoremore and others involved in the event. Drake has also been named in a lawsuit according to Yahoo News.

In a video posted online an emotional Scott sent prayers and condolences to the families and said he fully cooperates with the investigation to see what went wrong. "We're actually working with the families so we can assist then during this tough time." Scott is also the boyfriend of Kylie Jenner and fathered a daughter with her. Jenner say they are devastated.
