(TSN): The word heal is in the word healthy. We are an unhealthy nation currently becasue we have not paused to heal collectively following back-to-back traumas. From the Coronavirus pandemic to countles mass shooting in all types public venues to the January 6rh insurrection and tragedies caused by natural disasters, America has been in a perptual state of mourning. Once mourning become nomalized it is easy to become desensitized to loss, death and destruction. A nation of godly values should never reach that point because complacency in suffering is indeed a breaking point. We must pursue healing before we get to a place of hopelesness.
America remains a nation that believes in the power of prayer. We witnessed this when Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed and became non-responsive during a televised football game. News reporters prayed on air. Fans on both saided prayed in the stadium, And people of faith acorss the nation joined them. God answered those prayers and Hamlin recovered.
US Chaplain Barry Black prayed for the politicians to get over "analysis paralysis" concerning gun control. "Lord, when our babies are killed at a church school it is time that we move beyond thoughts and prayers," he prayed. Considering the stronghold in the Senate on this issue, it will take unification of other Believers to compel lawmakers to make the chabges necessary to pass gun reform. Watch his full prayer below.
