Authorities say she was found dead on the second floor near two assault weapons ( a rifle and pistol) and a handgun. Authorities say she had drawn a map with marked entry points and conducted surveillance before striking.
In discussing the incident a young father said, "They are giving out guns like It's candy."
Access to high powered weapons is central to the issue, but only Congress has to power to ban them.
While mass shootings are common in America two things about this one are not -- the scene being a private Presbyterian school and the suspect being female.
In Monday's briefing Pres. Biden's spoke woman Press Sec. Karine Jean Pierre said he has done just about all he can do. Legally blocking access to weapons is an act of Congress which the White House continues to call on for an assault weapons ban. At a separate White Gouse event Pres. Biden called the shooting a "nightmare " and Dr. Jill Biden said, *Our children deserve better."
